RED FEDS. AND BROWN FEDS.
The- statement made by the Primo Minister at' Hastings that ha could -ifford to Ignore ljoth the Red Feds, and the Brown Feds, was no doubt intended ias a little satire at the expense of the member for .Napier.' Mr Vigor Brown, M.P., of the Hawke's Bay seaside resort, is reputedly finding the powder and shot for certain newspapers to fire off squibs at the Government. He is the "pooh bah" of Napier, but outside that village, and in political circles, he is regarded as a. huge joke. The Red Feds, and the Brown Feds, make a queer combination. The sight of fclie bell-top-pered Vigor Brown and the soap-box Semple perambulating the country arm-in-arm would l>e enough to make thje Jjods weep. Polities produce strange bed-felloes! •,
