HIGH COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE.

It has been a matter of comment in recent years that while .the offices of neighbouring States are to he found in" a prominent, part of London, those of New Zealand have been located in such a position , tliat they are difficult to find, and wlhe.re- they offer no advertisement to the Dominion. Representations on the matter have, we believe, been made by the new Higlx Commissioner, and it wilt' lie'.a duty.of the Government to see that; a speedy alteration is made. In these days of keen competition and business rivalry, advertising is just as essential to the development of a State as it is to the life oP an individual. The business man who does not advertise, or ; who does it in a slovenly fashion, is on a sure road to extinction. Similarly, if a Dominion or State hides .its light' beneath a bushel, •it becomes lest to fchei public view, and suffers accordingly.
