FLOODS IN QUEENSLAND
A PHENOMENAL DOWXPOUR: (Received Last Night, 11:20 o'clock.) BRISBANE, January 17. Heavy rains have fallen along the coast. Tlio downpour was abnormal at Bundaberg and Maryborough, 32 inches being recorded at Bundaberg in 48 hours. 'The rivers are flooding the wharves. Low-lying lands are inundated, and many washawav-s have occurred. Railway traffic is dislocated. A man named Bax was drowned while crossing a creek at Childers.
