SAILOR DROWNED

WANGANUI, Last Night
A sailor named John Webb Dingle, aged 50, unmarried, a native of England, was drowned in the river on Friday night. After spending the evening drinking in town, it is surmised tliat he fell from the gangwiiy when boarding his-vessel.-the scow Maroro. By means of a nshin'rr'line, the body was recovored ,- esterday afternoon. Dingle joined! the vessel in Sydney a few weeks ago. Some months ago the Maroro lost a sailor in a similar manner.
