OHILD'S CONVINCING EVIDENCE

Mrs Fulharn, 0110 of the accused in tho Clark muixlor case, made a. state-
ment to the effect that she did not know the composition of the powders. Clark had said that they would make her husband slightly ill.
1 Cortisol' for the prosecution read her letter of July 11th, to the effect that an acquaintance of similar appearance to her husband had had a 3)eat. stroke, and sugge-sted the possibility of producing the same symptoms. if it could he done without suspicion. The Court- asked Mils Fulham to explain, and she replied that she would reserve her evidence.
Regarding her mother's murder Miss Clark identified Sukhia as one of the murderers.
Kathleen Fulhnm, aged ten, testified to the natives who came to her mother's bouse on the Sunday night, stating that Clark brought them into the dining-room next to Kathleen'« bedroom. The natives said tliev want ed money, and Clark said: "You're always wanting money." The natives then replied : "This - is the last time. It will he all over to-night." Mrs Fulliam said : "Come in the morning, or the children will be asking ouestions." Kathleen recognised Bndbu'« voice, and being frightened, went in her mother's dressjng room. ;»nd from there saw two men eb'mbiTie the wall.
