INVENTED BY A VICTORIAN.
(Received January 10, 0.10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, January 10. A local engineer has invented a gun, which he claims to he a great improvement on the Maxim. The latter fires 400 rounds a initiate, though a new type shortly to be issued attains 600 from one barrel alone. The now invention fires 400 and 600 per minute from two barrel.", used alternately, giving a speed of 1000 rounds.
