VESSEL IN TROUBLE
DISABLED IN CYCLONE
(Received This Morning T2.25 o'clock)
SYDNEY, January 8. Advice has been, received) that the mail steamer Salazie, voyaging from Tamatave to Marseilles, was disabled during a cyclone, and drifted' on to a reef in the Indian Ocean.
The passengers had an exciting time, but were landed safely. The second officer, named Braco, was drovned.
