MELBOURNE, January 8,

At the Science Congress, Professor Howchin, lecturer on geology at the Adelaide University, in his Presidential address in the' geology section, gave convincing proof that the climate of Central and South Australia had changed,' and was much worse within recent times. Well watered and productive lands had become arid, and riverless wastes.
