CRICKET
WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Wairarapa Cricket Association was held on Saturday last, Mr 1). K. Logan presiding, and there being a fair attendance. A letter was received from the secretary of the West Coast Nomads (including (repreasnibatiyes from Wanganui, Rangitikei and Manawatu), wllio commence a match with Wairarapa on Friday, stating that the team will arrive on Thursday afternoon from Napier.
The match will commence at 10 o'clock on Fridiay morning, an adjournment being made at.l o'clock for lunch, and a* 4 o'clock for afternoon tea. In tho evening tlie visitors will bo entertained at a smoke concert in the Club Hotel. TUie match will be resumed on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, and stumps will be drawn at 1 p.m. to enable the visitors to leave Mer in the day. : The visiting team is an exceptionally strong onej and some very interesting cricket should be witnessed'.
