BIBLE CLASSES CONFERENCE
(By Telegraph —Prett Aitodation. TIMARU, La.vt Night. TJie Presbyterian Bible Classes Conference was opened at Temuka yesterday, over 300 delegates being present, .and th.e total expected is 470, that-' number being registered. The ladies are accommodated in the publie schools, and the men in a large grain store. At the first meeting Col. Hayburst (Mayor of Teinuka), Mr Buxton, M.P. and the local ministers welcomed the delegates. The president, the Rev G. FT. Balfour. gave an address on the value of the Bible, and tlie importsince of the warlc the clashes engaged in, and of the influence they might exert upon society.
