NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. (By Telegraph.—-Press Association.) NAPIER, Last Night. The New Zealand lawn tennis championships wore continued at Hastings yesterday in fine weather, and in the ■presence of a large attendance. The men's championship ' singles were won by Swanston, the ladies' singles by Mis\s Gray, and;the doubles !\v Ollivier and Goss. ' The results of the day's play were as follow: Men's Singles.—Swan-ston beat Brown 6—2, 6 —2, 6 —2; Swanston beat Fisher Ladies' Singles!— Miss Gray beat Miss Travers 6 —o, 6 —2; Miss Hartgill beat Miss Clark 6—4. 6 —3; Miss Gray meat Miss Baird 6 —4, 6 —4; Miss Grav beat Miss Hartgill 2 —6, 6 —4, b —3 Combined Doubles. —Ollivier and Miss Hartgill beat Brown and Miss Gray 6 —3, 9 —7; Fisher and Mips Travers beat Margolioth and Miss Olarke 6-2, 6-3. The Australasian Championships :sfcart to-morrow. The English! team arrives to-nifdit. Lord and La.dv Liverpool will be present on Tuesday.
