"VENGEANCE IS MINE."
The great crowd of picture patroiw at the Foresters' Hall /on Saturday j night, were 7 presented with, aoi excep- | tioiially interesting programme, axd one that suited their taste, judging i from the hearty applause which was ..accorded each picture. The dramas were a line assortment, the subjects being above the ordinary run of this class of picture. The star drama was the three-act Nestor study "Vengeance is Mine." It is a magnificent study superbly acted, with a thrilling climax. Tt depicts a woman's noble .struggle against fate, and hei- cruel treatment at the hands of her hueband. The plot is sweetly sad, and •the;performers so utterly' convincing, that the play will linger long in the memory of those who witness it. The . other dramas will be shown for the | [first time in Masterton to-night. They are "The Hand of Fate" (Selig) I "Man or Maid" a"d "The Cowboy's Sister" (Patlie), and each ds a master-, piece in its own particular section. "Zieoio Drives a Locomotive" is a. very funny comic, a.nd the antics of j the engine should cause screams of j laughter. "Martha's Rebellion" is a | Vita-graph comedy with Bunny and his fat rival at their best. "The | Pi n ruber's First Job" is one long laugh I and the' same may be said of "Want- i ed a Babv.". in Ceylon" J and "A Thousand Miles Through the'J Rockies'.' are. two very sceriiics. v .-"The Australian 'Gazottie" - gives the latest colonial news in a ! j forfe. > Evolution of si-, Duck Egg" takes the audience o>ri a j visit. to - a duck ;fan»i,. w;hejre there are., forty, thousand chicks to be seen. The i firm advise patrons not to miss this '■ superb series of pictures, particularly "Vengeance is Mine." which is a miig- j nificant study. j
