SISTER McKAY.

In a letter to the editor of this paper, ' Sister McKay alleges that we have !w>en fit to dispose of her case without the trouble to ascertain her side of the question. We need hardly state : that ihis is utterly opposed to fact. So ihv as Sister McKay is concerned, > wo know her only in her capacity as a hospital official. Had she selected j to hnvo an inquiry into her treatment, we should have 'been glad to have stated her defence, whatever that might have been. She did not so seloob. She preferred to tender her resignation, and we repeat that by doing so ?he leads the public to suppose that the committee of the Board 1 pursued the only course open to it. Of the merits of the case we know ' nothing, excepting what has transpired at the meeting of the Hospital Board. We afforded an opportunity to Sister McKay to make a statement I through our columns, and she did not j avail herself of that opportunity. As ■the matter has been finally disposed of bv the Board, we do not. think it in the interests of either Sister McKay or the. hospital, that the circumstaiwes r.f the case should ba investigated by • u.l at this stage,. Sister McKay had an opportunity 'of demanding an inquiry. She did not avail herself of this opportunity. And. if she no# considers herself badly treated, she has only herself to.bl&me in the matter.
