Tho sitting lasted all day, and was continued till 10 o'clock in the evening, | a great amount of valuable business being transacted. A long discussion took place on the 'question of reducing the amount of ! funeral money, ami it, was iinally decided by a large majority that no reduction be made, as it was generally thought that the adoption of such a ) step would lead to a loss in menioer- ! ship. A proposal to increase the contrij but ions in order to make them adequate for the beneiits payable, was also lost by a substantial majority. I it was decided to appoint a qualified auditor, whoso business it will bo jto examine tlio books of all Courts I in the district, as well as thoso of tho District Court itself, and that the ! ' .system previously in force of Court I 'auditors bo done away with. | A proposal to hold an annual eon- , ference instead of a tri-ennial one, as at present, was rejected by a large 'majority, the prevailing opinion being that an annual conference would entail too much expense. I Tho conference will conclude this morning, when tho most important business will be tho installation of officers. The majority of visiting delegates ■will leave for their respective j homes in the afternoon. 1
