COMMITTEE MEETING

A meeting of the committee of the Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Club was held last evening. The officials for tho meeting to be 'held on Boxing Day were appointed. Preliminary arrangements were also made for the visit to Masterton of the American team of athletes early next year. The following officials were appointed for the meeting on Boxing Day: Referee, Mr J. Georgeson; running judges, A. D. Gillies,' S. Kingston, J. Murray and J., Coradine; judges of field events, A. C. Williams, A. O. Levien and H. C. Roberts; timekeepers, G. R. Sykes, M.P., L. Nicol, D. Walsh, J. Scott and A. Henderson; hon handicapper, W. S. L. Dickson; starter, J. C. McKillop; starter's steward A. J. Johnson; track stewards, J. L.' Murray, G. L. Thomas, W r . Gibson, A. P. Whatman, B. F. R. Beetham, Dr N. H. Prior, W. J. White, S. Condor; clerk of course, P. Gilbert; referees' steward, A. C. Williams. The following new members were elected: Messrs J. B. McKenzie, H. C. Wilton, L. O.rjngram, N. Cameron and. R. Chappell.

Mr O. E. Gallie was elected a member of the committee. A letter was received from Mr R. F. R. Beetham accepting the .position of vice-president, and enclosing a cheque for £1 Is towards the funds of the Club.
