MASTERTON PICTURE COMPANY
Another packed house greeted tho new programme at the Town Hall last night. It is full of thrill from beginning to end, and the wave of 'appreciation among the audience was in evidence all through. "The Aviator and the Journalist's Wife" proved a. big favourite, and will be oneof the strong attractions for tho next two nights. There were also several powerful dramas, delightfu|l scenica and breezy comics, all of which met with a hearty reception, especially "P.O. Hawkeye, Sportsman." One cannot help shrieking with laughter at this picture. Tho Lyric Orchestra; also promises something special in first-class music, so we advise anybody in search of a splendid evening's entertainment to visit tho Town Hall.

Last night's large audience was dolighted with the bill-of-fare submitted by Messrs Thompson and Yayno at the Foresters'. Hall. For an all round programme it would be hard to beat containing 'as sit does the pick of Fullers', tho'Greater J. D. Williams Co., West's and Hayward's pictures. The star item was "The Ghost of the Past;" an exceptionally exciting and interesting drama con-taining-many pathetic passages. The. terrible depths'to which the craving for drink-will drag a man is graphically described. The audience voted the picture an excellent one. • Three jof the favourite Vitagraph pictures j were shown. "In Aunty's Romance" Maurice Costclio and Florence Turner take tho leading roles;.in the com-, edy "Troublesome Stepdaughters"' the leading characters are John Bunny, Flora Finch and Mary Prico, while 1 several of the favourites are also seen in the comedy was Wise."
