TARATAHI SALE REPORT. Messrs Dalgety andXo., -Ltd., report on their Tarata'hi"sale as follows: Only two small pens of sheep came forward, but our cattle' accommodation was taxed to its utmost, and several temporary pens hail to lie erected? to accommodate same. The special entries offered on account Messrs Rayner and Sons iucluded some good lines of grown bullocks- and. useful sorts of 2-yr steers, which met with keen competition, these" cattle being yarded in excellent condition. Our entry in cattle totalled 300 head, and with the exception of a few pens all; lines were cleared at prices well tip to recent market reports. The following is a list of prices realised: Sheep—Fat woolly ewes 21s 4d to 23s 6d. Cattle—Fat and fwd bullocks £8 Is, 3-yr steers £5 15s to £5 195,. 2-yr steers £1 6s tb £5 13s, yearling: steers £3.to. £4, small <k> £2 5s to £2 13s, mixed yearlings £3 ss, 2-yr empty dairy;heifers £4 12s, yearling Jersey cross heifers £4 to £5 6s, yearling heifers £2 195,t0 £8 9s, store cows £2 to £4, dairy cows £6 to £7 2s, yearling Holstein tiwHs £3 15s tt>£4.. Pigs—Small weanars 12s, slips JSs, A few horses (light -harness) sold at from £5 10s. t» £7 ss.
