DALGETY AND CO.
The cabled report of the annual meeting of Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., shows that this firm lias had another successful year. In spito of the industrial unrest and the national crises which have been experienced, Messrs Dalgety and Co. have been able to declaro a dividend of 8 per cent, on the year's operations, to add £60,000 to the reserve fund, to write off £50,000, and to carry forward a sum of £84,155. Such a splendid result could only be passible under prudent management and progressive business methods. There is, perhaps, no enterprise in the Southern Hemisphere which commands greater public respect than that of Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and while it continues on the lines of the past it cannot- foil to occupy a high place in tho world of j commerce. j
