TRUST LANDS TRUST.
One would have thought that, after the pronounced opinion expressed by the public at an election held a few weeks back, Mr H. C. Robinson would have modified 'his attitude in regard to tho administration of the Trust Land Trustees. Instead of doing that, however, ho seeks furthor notoriety by calling a public meeting at which 1 he proposes to ask that a resolution ba passed demanding the resignation of th<? whole of the Trustees. Tim public of M.astci'tort is becoming sick
of tho perpetual J'Trust! Trust! Trust!" It is tirod of tho whole | business. It. wants a rest. Mr Bob- ' inson may bo inspired by the mo«t worthy motives. But ho surely has not the presumption to suppose that a public meeting is going to humiliate and stultify itsolf in the manner he . suggests. Instead, it wiH Ik> sur- I prising to us if the public does not show its contempt for the proposal to insult the trustees, and tlie intelligent electors who placed them in their positions, by absenting themselves from ■tho meeting.
