TRUST SCHOLARSHIPS

METHOD OF ALLOCATION. At the monthly meeting of the Mastertoa Trust Lands Trust last evening the question, of future allocation -c/i the Trust Scholarship Fund was finally dealt with. Air A. W. Hogg, in accordance with notice of motion given at the last Trust meeting, moved that the resolution by the trustees oro april 15th, 1912, in reference to the allocation of the scholarship fund be rescinded. Mr T. B. Michell seconded the motion, which' was carried unanimous-. I.v. The Chairman (Air R. Krahagen) then. moved the following resolution : "That the system previously in force with reference to scholarship grants be reverted to: viz, "That a'"minimum grant' of £lO per annum be given to every pupil who matriculates from any school in th© Master-: ton Small Farm Settlement, and who intends tc pursue his studies at a University, the grant not to be available for a longer period than five years, and that consideration be given, to special cases, 6uch -scholarships to be termed matriculation scholarships, this resolution to b® retrospective and to apply to all previous grants made in regard to tlx? same."....
