"PEOPLE'S DAY." (By Teles-ravh.—Association.) PALMERSTON N., Last Night. r l\>-day's attendance at the Palmerston Show was estimated at just over 23,000. Lord Islington attended' and witnessed the display by the returned New Zealand Cadets from Canada. Several riders were unseated, in the competitions, but none were seriously hurt. Additional results wore as follow: Pony Leaping—J. G. Mayo's Princy Chap Ist. Harness Horse—F. Vosper's Trixv Ist; Mrs C. Sfcubbs' Stake 2nd. ' Lady's and Gent's Hacks—E. Short's Scout Ist; ssme owner's Dinizulu and Fusilier 2nd] Lady Driver—Miss Gill, Cambridge, Ist; Miss Oowen, Pohangina, . 2nd ; Miss Campbell, Wanganui, 3nd. Lady Rider, side saddle—Miss Campbell Ist; Mrs Becker, Parorangi, 2nd; Mrs O. Nelson, Hastings, 3rd. ; Leaping, son's (Masterton) Yeast Ist ; L. W. I). MoEwen's (tongburii) Lady De Vere 2nd; E. Short's Diriizulu 3rd. Hunter's Open Competition, for ! championship and O'Rouke Challenge'l C/np—Wynn Brown's (Cambridge) Exchange Ist; F. Vosper's (Cambridge) Doctor 2nd; H.
