CHURCH SERVICES.
..Presbyterian- services will be held t-o-morrow afternoon -at Kopuahmga. There will be on evening; service atLansdowne, when the subject of the discourse will |be "The-, Foundation Stone of .the Church."
The Rev. B. L. Tfiomas, the new minister who has come to take charge of the Congregational Church, will conduct his first' service to-mor-row, wheni the subjects for his sermons will be: "Called to -be "God's Own A - hearty 'lnvitAtion' * isgiven to all to be present. •
Sunday School anniversary Services will be conducted at the.. Methodist Church to-morrow. Rev. T. T. Thomas, 8.A., of Pa (flierston North, will conduct the services at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. At Kurupuni, Rev E. T. Olds will take the morning and evening services, and also the afternoon' service at Wangaebu. - -
At the Y.M.C.A. to-morrow afternoon the Rev B. L. Thomas/, the newly appointed Congregational minister, will be welcomed. The Rev. A. T. Thompson, 8.A., 8.D., will preside. At the Bible Class /-the speaker will be Mr H. W. Jackson.
To-morrow all the churches . under the jurisdiction of the.-. Wairarapa Presbytery will hold| special services in vie,jY ,of the. present war.. The. Rev/Av T. Thompson; B!A., 8.D., will conduct both services at Knox Church, the subject' for the evening service being, "And on Earth, Peaee." A children's service will be held at 2.30 p.m. ■ The Men's Society will meet at 10 a-.m. At the Baptist Church to-morrow, Pastor E. Swinerd's subjects will be: Morning, "Thon art the Same." .Evening:, "Guilty or Not Guilty?" Mr Swinerd will render a solo.
