Mr Laing-Measen accomnanied hv Mr T. Feist (Mayor) and several members of the Borough Council visited the waterworks on Thursday afternoon, in connection with the new -*highrpressui<e.scheme to •fore the.ratepayers* at an early data. A quantity of data was obtained, and this will be submitted for the' consideration of the ratepayers at a public meeting to be held shortly. There were thirteen births, . one marriage, and two deaths registered in Carterton during October. position in -the Dead Letter Office, Wellington. Area-Adjutant Captain Brack-tail, of the Territorial Forces, was a visitor to Carterton on Friday. The health of Mr Henry Cheshire, of Belvedere, is at present. -causing his manv friends anxiety.
