A CRUSHING DEFEAT.
The crushing defeat of Turks, which is reported in our cable news this morning, will probably result in the unhappy Moslems making early, overtures for peace. The four-days' battle which has taken place would appear to have completely demoralised the main body of the Turkish army, and;,if it be true that the supremecommander lias fallen in the fight, the effect Upon the future of the campaign will be-salutary. The Bulgarians at one end, and the Servians at the other end, have dealt a deathblow to the Ottoman Empire. The intimation from Vienna that the Allies are willing to negotiate for pence without i-he intervention of the Powers is" significant.
