Holiday-makers were present in full force, and from the applause which punctuated the programme, they enjoyed themselves fully. The Picture Idol, a cleverly conceived comedy film by the Vitagraph Company, is quite the best thing in comics that we have yet seen. The audience were kept in fits of7alighter by the" funny.episodes, with which the pwe^.'/.'fpirly'-bristled. Maurice Costelloi seen at his best, is always hard to beat, and in The Picture (| ldol he excels himself. Heaven Av];fenges (A.B. Drama) audi;; 'Child's Prayer (Lubin Drama) represents modem drama in its best colours. Broncho Billy and the Child is a fine representation:, of Western life, portrayed in Lubin's very best style. The many adventures of Broncho Billy provides much excitement, and in some cases sensation. Other films equally en < were Pathe Gazette ■ A^erigraalsL;bf 'Australia,' Tunis' and •Rheims, a trio of first grade seen-' ics, in which the beauties of' m&ny lands are wonderfully portrayed'.
