TAUPIRI COAL-MINES.
The Tanpiri Coal Company has taken a very decisive and interesting stand in dismissing from its employ the members of the erecutive of the Coal Miners' Union, presumably because they were the instigators of a cessation of -work. ■ It will be held by the Red Flagger:; that- a- gross act of victimisation has'..been committed. On the other hand ib will be contended' that the men who incited others to cease work should .be made to bear the brunt of their actions. The company probn.l>!v sougnt legal advico before it took action, and has been prompted by a desire to make an example of those who devote themselves to creating industrial disturbance. The progress of events will be watched with deep interest.
