At the inquest at Petone on the body of Thomas Osborne Cooke, who , was killed through a shunling engine and cars bumping into a car mckr which he was working, evidence was given that- the usual clanger flags provided by regulations were not displayed at each end of the car. and that it was deceased's duty to see that they were displayed; The who leaves a wife and child of eight* was described as n vn-v steady man. A Verdict of "accidental death" was returned.
