LAKE COLEBRIDGE STRIKE
MAINTAINING ORDER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHBISTdHUIICH, Last Night.
The men employed at the Lake t>ol - eridge works are still on strike. , Although >io trouble amongst the men is anticipated, precautions ar©_ being taken and iw'6 constables 'have heeii sent to the- scene of the striko to j maintain order. Mr Palliser, secretary of the General Labourers' Union, has received a letter from Mr H. A. Campbell, organiser, dealing,with the state of affairs, on the contract, but did not feel justified in making tv.e contents public until they have been before the Union. A further development has taken place. The men want two carpenters dismissed who worked yesterday, and are threatening to handle them roughly, f.
