SAD DROWNING FATALITY

THREE CHILDREN LIVES. (By Tt lt"jvapit—Tress Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Nieht. A siul accident occurred at Paeroa yesterday, three children of Edward Shaw being drowned. It that Four children —Marv Shaw (asjed W), Kenneth Shaw (12), Jack Shaw (7), nnd Fort Moresby (14) —were o'ut on tho river in a small boat with a sail up when the wind caught the sail and overturned tho boat. A Maori boy saw the accident, and told Shaw, who was quicklv at the scene, nnd rescued Moresby, who was hanging on to the bottom of the boat. The other three children went-down, and up till the time of writing; only one body had been recovered. A larye party, under a constable, are at present engaged in dragging the river.
