ENORMOUS DAMAGE HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. (Received Laist Night 10.15 o'clock.) LONDON, September 18. The Turkish Ambassador at London states that the earthquake which occurred in Turkey on August 10th, destroyed thirty-two Government buildings, * 11,000 dwellings and shops, thirty-five mosques, and eleven churches in the Gallipoli and .Rodosto districts. The shock also partly wrecked 5000 dwellings, while 1115 people werekilled and 2122 injured. Twenty nine thousand required assistance.
