AMATEUR THEATRICALS.
The Masterton Amateur Theatrical Society is to be congratulated upon the splendid success which ha,s attended its latest achievement, The Society has, from time to time, pro- \ ided the town with a variety of wholesome amusement. But on no OGcasion since its inception lias it so completely won the admiration and appreciation of the public as in the charming little opera, "H. M. S. Pinafore.",., The whole of the performers, fj'om the boy who parades the bridge of tho vessel with the glasses under his arm, to the Firet Lord of tho Admiralty, .have acquitted themselves in a most excellent manner, and they have furnished an entertainment which has afforded the utmost pleasure to the auditors. The conductor sen ing the thanks of the community for the magnificent result of his arduous efforts.
