MR T.M. WILFORD.

Mr T. M. Wilford, M.P., has taken his..foot permanently from the pedal. He announced last night that he had withdrawn from the Opposition Party, and would henceforth be a "Moderate Liberal." Thig is tantamount to saying that the Opposition has gone right' over to the Radicals, and that the ranks of that party is no place for the Moderate Liberal. If the step token by Mr Wilford is justified, then fully a dozen other* must follow his example. We[ have maintained ever since the elections that there must be only two parties in' the House—the Liberals and the Radicals. The Government is undoubtedly the Liberal Party, and it is only reasonable to suppose that Mr Wilford And- other Moderates will be found fighting shoulder to shoulder with Mr Massey to prevent the extremists coming to power.
