DAYLIGHT SAVING BILL.
The Mean Time, or Daylight Saving Bill, introduced by Mr Sidey, was talked out in the House of -Representatives on Wednesday. It is safe to say, therefore, that it will not again be" heard of this session. Notwithstanding this.' rebuff,' Mr Sidoy has the satisfaction of knowing that the principle of his Bill is supported by a not inconsiderable section of the communand' by a large 'number of members of the House. We do not.ourselves consider the time rlpo for such an innovation. It seems to us that aujple provision is already niade for the, relaxation of the people, and there is "a distinct danger of our going ie extremes. The putting on of the clock in the summer months would disofganise a. good many trades, without reasonable compensation to those engaged in them. Y
