BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.
We' have received a circular letter from the Rev. D. J. Garland, Organising Secretary of the "Bible in Stat© Schools League of New Zealand," setting forth the aims, objects and <3f pirations of the League. With these wo hope to deal fully at a future date. In tho meantime we desire to say that the League has every right to issue its propaganda, and to educate the public on this important question. The public, however, should not allow itself to be influenced by extraneous matter, or by the irrational appeals of sentimentalists. It should view the stibject dispassionately, and weigh tho pros, and cons, before, arriving at a. decision. There are arguments on both sides, as wo hope to show in the near future.
