In the House of Representatives today, Ministers, replying to questions, said that if opportunity offered'-this session the Government would refer tho question of the revision of the rules of procedure of the v House.to the Standing Orders Committee for consideration, with a view to the expedition of business; it is intended in the. case of endowment lands to insert a clause in the Land Billy now in course of preparation, providing that . the rent to be paid by tenants will commence one month from tho. date of the ballot, so as to give settlersreasonable time in which to make "preparations for working tho sections they intended to occupy; the question tf extending the benefit of reduced immigration fares to the wives and children of men who, having already settled in New Zealand, are desirous of bringing their wives out to join them, will receive consideration J it is intended to in+reduce a Plumber's Registration Bill very shortly; a report oil the efficiency of the exiting law iu fieeum'ig facilities for the supply of women shop assistants lias been ordered.
