The Masterton-Waipukurau Railway League is going tho right way to work to achieve success. It i? bringing together the whole of the settlers of the wide area interested in the East Coast railway. Never before lias such enthusiasm been displayed over the project as at the present time. The doputition which waits upon the Minister of Public? Works today should have 110 difficulty in establishing the claims of the district to consideration. It will, of course, be" pointed out that this line was one of fcho--e promised by iho Ward Administration, and that the late Mr Scddon had declared it to V orsentul,: to the dovclonment of the country. l . The Hon Mr Fraser will probably express bis intention of paying a person- ' al vifit- to the district. If he should j do this there will be some hope of our j scheme being adopted. Meanwhile., the deputation to Wellington should endeavour to enlist the sympathy of the city Chamber of Commerce. I
