EIGHT ALLEGED BREACHES. IN THE MASTERTON ELECTORATE. (Jiy Telegram—Press association.) PAHIATUA, Last Night. Tho Magistrate's Court at Pahiatua was occupied yesterday afternoon in dealing with several cases of alleged breaches of the Licensing Act. Eight charges were preferred against Thomas Biggar, a Makuri carrier, as follows (1) That on or about June 29th, 1912, at Pahiatua, he gave an order for liquor intended to be taken into the uo-license district of Masterton for another person, and failed to give the name of such person ; (2) that on July sth, 1912, lie delivered liquor at Pongaroa, in the Masterton 110-I icon so district, having reasonable grounds to suspect that such liquor was to 1)0 kept for sale; (3) that, between July nth and 11th, 1912, at Pongaroa, he kept tho liquor for sale; (I) that on or about. July 2nd. 1912, at Pongaroa, he received an order for liquor from John Overend. Four other charges wero also preferred against him of having received orders for liquor from Charles Modder, Walter IT. Plovman. Edward Walker, and William Evan Davis.
