The Budget debate was continued in the House of Representatives yes-

terday, when speeches were made by Messrs. W. D. S. Mactfonald (Taurangii), E. Newman (Manawatu), G. M. Thompson (Dunedin), G. Laurenson (Lyttelton), and J. S. Malcolm <Clutha). There was nothing very illuminating in the debate, excepting that Mr Lmrenson made a violent attack upon th e Hon. F. M. B. Fisher. The House rcse at 10.45 p.m.
