CHINESE STOWAWAYS

SYDNEY, August I*3.
A Chinese steward aboard the steamer Guthrie, was fined £IOO for being concerned in landing prohibited immigrants. The 'evidence showed that a hole waft cut in the saloon floor by which food was passed to three Chinese stowaways in the hold, and which accused was caught bringing ashore.
