AMUSEMENTS
'MRS McSWEENEY" ON THE STAGE.
There are nearly as many laugli3 in the new play, "Mrs McSweeney," founded on the late Tlios. E. Spencer's well-known book, "Tlje Surprising Adventures of Mrs Bridget McSweeney," as there are sentences in the dialogue. It is all laugh from start to finish', and the .Irish-Australian combination of atmosphere that has been worked into the piece makes just such a story as will delight all. It is only (necessary to cay that Miss Maggie Moore (supported by a specially-seleet-,ed company) w playing the title role, "Bridget McSweeney." There is not a dull moment in the piece. It means an ending to every fit of the blues. It will- cure the worst headache on record. The whole of Australia is smiling over it, and retailing the fun of the dialogue. Maggie Moore says it is the best part she has had since Lizzie Stcfel in "Struck antee of the play's worth. The company will appear on Friday evening next. The plan is on view afc the Dresden.
