QUESTION OF CHIDLEY'S SANITY (Received Last Night, 9.10 o'clock.) SYDNEY, August 9. Cbidley the advocate of the "simple life," who was a few days ago committed to a mental hospital, has written letters to the Press insisting upon his sanity. The publications are attracting much attention. There is a strong movement afoot to secure a further medical examination.

The Hon. Mr Mc-Gowen, Premier of New South Wales, speaking in the Assembly, promised to obtain a report as to Chid ley's mental condition.
