LONDON, -July 20. Gladys Evans, Mary Leigh (who £hre.w ift. Lhatchet at Mr Asquitli), Lizzie Bidkcr, and Mary Capper (all English women) have been .committed ffor trial rtt Dublin on a charge .of conMp'r.i.nti to enivp grievous bodi-Jjy har.-n ami malicious damage. Evans was captured while trying to set fire to the cinematograph box in j the Theatre Royal when the house was emptying. She put a handbag containing gunpowder into the box, and attempted to throw lighted matches on to it.
Ths caruet, which wins saturated with petrol, burst into flames, and an explosion occurred. Two soldiers extinguished the flames. Another woman, who was apparently, not arrested, and wis in a private box in the theatre, set a curtain afire, after saturating it with ipetrol. At the defendants' lodgings the police found rubber gloves, a small quantity of oil, and matches. Capper joined the other three shortly before their arrest. The accused were offered bail.
