THE ANNUAL MEETING.

DANNEVIRKE, Last Night, The annual meeting of the Dannevirke A. and P. Association was lie Id on Saturday \airternoon. Tlie report showed the Society to be in a flourishing condition, the membership hiving considerably increased. A profit of £155 was shown, on the year's operations. The credit balance on the profit and loss account :is £869. Ihe prospects for the ensuing year are favourable. Mr L. 0. Rathbone was elected President. Considerable d : s cussion ensued on a proposal to have a two-days' show this year. Eventually it was decided that a two days show be held only in the event of a sufficient number of debentures bciirji taken up by 30th September next, to enable a grandstand to be built on the new showground in time .for the occasion.
