LONDON MARKETS.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cable advice from London, under date July 4th: —Frozen Meat. —Market very quiet. Lamb: Lightweights unchanged, medium and heavy weights, £d per lb. lower. Mutton and beef unchanged. It is impossible to form an accurate opinion because of outbreak of foot and mouth disease. So far as can be seen at present, beef is not likely to advance materially, but decline may be arrested in mutton and lamb. Tallow :—Since our last cable last week, the market is unchanged. Demand limited.
TARATAHI STOCK SALE.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Taratahi sale as follows: —Wc offered a fair yarding of the sheep, all of which met with .a ready sale. Only a few cattle came forward. Quotations:—'Cull ewes in lamb, 6s 4d to 7s 6d; f.m. ewes in lamb, 10s; empty ewes, 8s to 8s 6d; medium hoggets, 9s 3d to 10s lid; fat ewes, 14s; fat wethers, 17s. Cattle: Cows in calf, £2 to £3 17s 6d; fat cows, £5 12s to £6.
