MAURICEVILLE WEST.
A farewell social is to bo tendered to Mr and Mrs A. Larsen on Thursday night, when singing and dancing will bo indulged in. A pleasant evening is anticipated.
Mr and Mrs E. W. Neilsen arc leaving in a few days for a short tour of the Wairarapa. Hawke's Bay and Palnierston North will also be visited.
The condition of Master Henry Lemborg who has been suffering for some time from after effects of diphtheria. is causing his relatives grave anxiety, little hope being held out for his recovery.
Hand .skimming is gradually disappearing in our midst, and now that the factory has closed down; many of Hie dairy farmers have put in separators.
