CARTERTON.
The directors of the Tawaha Co-op-erative Dairy Company have selected Mr L. Brunette, who has been first assistant at the Featherston dairy factory during the past season, as manager of their factory in place of Mr 8. Wright, who has received an appointment to .another factory. Mr Wright, like Mr Brunetti, was first assistant at the Featherston factory prior to re ■ coiving the appointment to Tawaha. At a of the Druids' Lodge on Monday evening, Bro. R. Canton was presented with a framed diplomi in commemoration, of having passed through the chai.rn of Totara Lodge. Through the efforts of Mr W. 0. Buchanan, M.P., the local Stock Department's office lias been connected with the telephone exchange. Charged with being drunk, and causing a nuisn.nce by interrupting during an entertainment in Victoria Ho 11 the previous evening, a first offender was. fined 10s and costs in the Police Court yesterday morning.
