HIGH COMMISSIONERSHIP.
The ••premier -state's that no appointment will he made to the High Commiissicnership until Parliament meets. Tliis -is, tantamount to saying, that the Hon. T. Mackenzie is not sure of his position. He practically admits that lie 'has not sufficient support behind Mm to -warrant him in making an appointment. If (this 'be..so, then he and his Ministers nave no right whatever to travel aibbut the country making promises of public works,- etc. They have, (indeed, no moral right to administer the- affairs of the country until Parliament meats. The Premier is possibly hoping that in the dispensation- of things he will 'be given the opportunity of going to Loudon hiimself. W.e shall-see. ,
