HORSE-STEALING.
The Farmers' Union is drawing the attention, of the Legislature to a manifest flaw in the Criminal Code relating to horse-stealing. Under the law as it now stands a person may, it seems, remove- a horse from another man's paddock, and convert it to his own -use for ah unlimited period, and a charge of theft will not lie against 'him unless it he proved that ho offered the animal for sal'?. 'Phis is .surely offering a premium to horsestealing, ilf 'the (position is as stated, the Legislature should lose no time in amending tJie law.
