A COMPANY FGKMED. A few weeks back it was stated in tlhese columns that a. Company, with a capita.! of £25,000, was in course of formation with the object of exploring certain oil areas in the country ' between EketahiHia and Alfredton. We understand that the Company has now been registered, and that bo-ing operations will be commenced as soon as possible. The original options were secured by the Brothers Cassia (one of whom resides, in Masterton),. and these are being sold to'the Company': The •indications of the presence of petroleum have been pronounced i y experts to be excellent. 1 It is proposed to put down three prospecting wells.
