INDUSTRIES WEEK.
The jVlasterton Chamber of Commerce is taking the initiative in the matter of holding an 1 ''industries week" in Masterton. The idea is, of course, to /bring before the outside public the r.e•soureefuHncss of the district, and to impress upon local consumers the necessity for being loyal to their own country. To make an "industries week" a success, it 6 first of all essemtkil that we shall be in a position to produce a creditable display of local miannfactuires. To ensure this, the co-operation, of the A. and P. Association, and of kindred bodies, m,ust be sought. Having secured the exhibits, every means should be utilised for t'hem into public prominence. The. suggestion that the display should be made during the cmruival week of the Compat:tion.s Society is an excellent or.e. It is to be hoped that the matter will be taken' up with enthusiasm'by tradespeople.
